“We’ve been here since 1953. We bought the land for the new school back in 1999. We’ve been developing it since 2001 when we broke ground. Hey, it’s 2009. A new school is going to mean that we can have all the students and all the faculty and everything on one campus. A commons area where they all can gather to eat, and to worship, and to study. Hallways that are short. Classrooms where there are constant air temperatures and air circulation. It’ll be wonderful to see the students come through one entryway into a new building that is designed to enhance the community that we already experience here.”
To the supporting community of Unity: “You’ve honored me by allowing me to be the principal at Unity for the past 27 years. The greatest gift that God entrusts to people is their children, and the most vulnerable time in a child’s life is the high school years. I’ve been allowed to be part of the high school students’ lives here at Unity and that’s a tremendous honor for which I thank God every day.” —Jack Postma
