Justin Knot

“It's going to help Unity grow... a ton, not only through new science labs and technology, but it's going to help them understand more about God's creation, and how to use it. And also with the auditorium, the new gyms, the new sports field--that's another opportunity to reach out to the community. It will help the community see how together we are--how united.”

Jared LeFebre

Senior

Jared is going on to Covenant College in Georgia, and after that, into Secondary Education. “matthew 28 says just go make disciples of all nations, and God’s given us so much. He’s given us everything and expects nothing and it’s our job to show that same kind of love to other people. I’m ready. I got to get out there.”

“The relationships here are great. I mean they really make you think about yourself and others as well. As I go to Michigan State, since it’s going to be a public university, I need to consider other people’s feelings, knowing that they might not have the same background as me.”

Liz Miedema

Liz Miedema

Senior

Liz is going on to Grand Valley State University and after that to “work for a magazine where I can show that our inner being is not what society tells us it is – what’s cool about ourselves is us. I want to be a light next year at GVSU. It will be very different there; I want to learn from those around me.”

Nate Krikke

Nate Krikke

Senior

Nate will be going to GRCC and then will likely move on to something with music. “I’m pretty passionate about music – this year I had a chance to sing a song that I wrote in chapel about Darfur. It was actually an english project, but it was something that I really wanted to do. I wrote it in order to raise awareness about Darfur and the genocide that’s going on over there, so it pretty much takes the perspective of someone that lives there and how they would feel and the things that they would be going through.”

Brian Verwolf

Brian Verwolf

Senior

“I am headed to Dordt College and I’m going to be studying education. I’ve experienced a lot of growth from the teachers and I feel like they have given me so many blessings. The reason I chose education is to go and give back those blessings to other people.”

Kelly Vanden Berg

Kelly Vanden Berg

Senior

Kelly will be going on to Trinity Christian College, and eventually, a Special Education Music Educator. “Through my actions, through my words, through what I’m choosing to do with the rest of my life, I can be advancing the kingdom.”
